Transparency Is the New Luxury
In today’s cannabis world, trust isn’t built on packaging, it’s built on proof.
That proof lives inside a document called a Certificate of Analysis (COA), a lab report verifying exactly what’s in your hash (and what isn’t).
At Paradise, we believe every customer deserves clarity. Because when you’re inhaling something as sacred as solventless THCA Hash, you have the right to know the chemistry behind the craft.
What Is a COA?
A Certificate of Analysis is an official document issued by a licensed third-party laboratory after testing a cannabis product.
It may provide detailed results on:
- Cannabinoid content (like THCA, THC, CBD, CBG)
- Terpene profile (aromatic compounds and ratios)
- Contaminant testing (pesticides, heavy metals, solvents, and microbes)
- Moisture content and water activity
Think of it as the nutritional label of your cannabis.
Why COAs Matter
COAs serve three purposes:
- Transparency: They verify authenticity, ensuring what’s on the label is what’s in the jar.
- Safety: They confirm the absence of harmful contaminants.
- Quality: They reflect craftsmanship and consistency.
In solventless hashmaking, COAs are also a badge of integrity, proof that purity isn’t just promised, it’s measured.
“At Paradise, our COAs aren’t compliance paperwork, they’re our signature.”
How to Read the Cannabinoid Profile
The first section you’ll usually see is cannabinoid potency, often the most eye-catching part of the COA.
Key Metrics:
- THCA (%): The raw, unactivated cannabinoid that converts into THC when heated.
- THC (%): Already active THC, often minimal in fresh hash.
- Total Cannabinoids (%): The sum of all active and precursor cannabinoids.
- CBD, CBG, CBN: Other compounds influencing mood and effect.
For THCA Hash, you should expect 45–80% THCA and very little active THC, proving it hasn’t prematurely decarboxylated.

Terpene Profile
The terpene section is where the art meets the analytics.
Here, you’ll see percentages of aromatic compounds such as myrcene, limonene, pinene, and caryophyllene.
Together, these form your hash’s aromatic signature, the sensory fingerprint that gives each strain its mood and personality.
A diverse, balanced terpene profile indicates full-spectrum extraction and superior preservation.

Contaminant Testing
This is arguably the most important part of any COA.
It verifies that your hash is free from:
- Residual solvents (butane, propane, ethanol)
- Heavy metals (lead, arsenic, mercury)
- Microbials (mold, yeast, E. coli)
- Pesticides and mycotoxins
For solventless THCA Hash, the solvent section should always read: “ND,” None Detected.
“Purity means nothing added, nothing hidden, nothing to fear.”
Water Activity and Moisture
These numbers measure freshness and shelf stability.
Ideal water activity (Aw) is between 0.3 and 0.5, dry enough to prevent mold, moist enough to keep terpenes intact.
High moisture can lead to spoilage; too little can make hash brittle. At Paradise, we control humidity meticulously to balance both.
Lab Verification
Every COA should include:
- Sample date and lab name.
- Testing method and equipment used.
You can verify authenticity by scanning the QR code on your jar, which links directly to the lab report hosted on the lab’s website.
This ensures your product’s test results are not just printed, they’re proven.
Understanding Pass/Fail Thresholds
Regulations vary by state, but most testing thresholds require:
- Heavy metals: < 0.1 ppm
- Residual solvents: ND (none detected)
- Pesticides: ND or below trace limits
- Microbials: No growth
Paradise consistently exceeds these standards, our solventless process avoids contamination from the start.
The Unlock Paradise Promise
We don’t treat COAs as fine print; we treat them as the final step of craftsmanship.
Every jar of Afghan, Moroccan, Temple Ball, Piatalla, or Rosin hash includes QR-linked test results.
Because transparency isn’t optional, it’s the foundation of trust.
“Luxury is knowing exactly what’s in what you love.”
